Position Summary: In this position, you are responsible for commercial kitchen design, draft layouts, production drawings, and presentation drawings. You are comfortable developing client relationships while creating schematic design, design development, and prototypical packages. You are also skilled at coordinating with architectural and engineering partners, plus all other stakeholders attached to a project.

Functions & Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate on multiple commercial kitchen projects, spanning all phases of design 

• Sketch layouts and perform capacity/sales studies to develop designs and determine equipment needs

• Meet/coordinate with clients to determine the unique needs of each space

• Coordinate drawings through all business phases, from procurement to installation

• Create graphical presentations and documentation for training and standards development

• Resolve drawing/document issues, ensuring that all relevant specifications are error-free

• Attend design reviews and meetings with clients

• Perform any other related duties as required

Education & Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field 

  OR

• 5+ years’ experience in a professional design environment/department 

• Advanced computer skills including AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

• Food service design experience preferred
